Delighted to welcome a ‘bunch’ of USA visitors from the World Daffodil Convention to Coleman’s Garden Centre.

Causeway Sunset, Irish Charm, Finn McCool, Paddy’s Legacy – all varieties of Irish daffodils. Growers from around the world are currently visiting Northern Ireland to enjoy these wonderful spring flowers and we were delighted to meet a merry ‘bunch’ of them .. sorry couldn’t resist the pun…who had travelled all the way from the USA to be at the convention.
The convention also hosted visitors from Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Ireland for the World Daffodil Convention which takes place in a different country every four years.
They arrived at Coleman’s Garden Centre after a visit to Glenarm Castle and Gardens. After a spot of shopping we presented them all with a souvenir Coleman’s jute bag before they dined on a a classic Caesar salad starter, traditional fish and chips with mushy peas before indulging on award winning head baker Avril’s award winning pavlova, all washed down with tea or coffee and wine.
Before they depart Northern Ireland next week they will visit Titanic Belfast culminating with the grand finale at the Spring Fair at Malone House Belfast on Saturday and Sunday and a reception in Belfast City Hall on Saturday night.

Laura West, Coleman’s Garden Centre commented: “it was a pleasure to welcome this well travelled group and certainly one of the furthest group of visitors we’ve had in the garden centre. We know they enjoyed true Northern Ireland hospitality throughout their travels and we wish everyone at the convention safeward onward travel home.. don’t be a stranger to Coleman’s Garden Centre.. you will always be welcome “.
