The bakers at Coleman’s Garden Centre will soon be sprinkling the final bits of icing sugar on their cakes, adding exquisite ingredients to the gorgeous scones and drying off their mugs for Dementia UK’s Time for a Cuppa. The event brings together colleagues, neighbours, friends and family over a cuppa and some scones or cake – while raising money for more dementia specialist Admiral Nurses, who give life-changing support to families facing dementia.
Admiral Nurses provide the specialist dementia support that families need. When things get challenging or difficult, they work alongside families affected by dementia, giving them the compassionate one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions, that help families face dementia with more confidence and less fear.
Richard Fry, Managing Director, Coleman’s Garden Centre commented:
“We’re all really excited to make Time for a Cuppa for Dementia UK. This event is all about spending time with the people who are close to you whilst also raising funds and awareness of the incredible work which Admiral Nurses do. The Alzheimers Society is one of the main charities we have chosen to support in 2020 and we are delighted to support this event and raise some much needed funds to support families living with Dementia. Dementia can leave many families isolated and without the support they need. This is why it’s so important for people to come together, to talk to people with the condition and to reminisce about the lives of people who have been lost to it.”
So on Friday 6th March join us at Coleman’s Garden Centre where our team will be serving you with an Morning special of Hot Drink and Scone or Afternoon Special of Hot Drink and Cake for only £3 which is normally £4.95 so you can enjoy a ‘cuppa’ at a special price and donate the savings to the ‘ Time for a Cuppa’ campaign. We trust you will join us next Friday and help make a difference – see you then hopefully.”
