There was plenty of ‘inside the box’ thinking on display as Templepatrick Action Community Association (TACA) members and visitors got their hands dirty whilst participating in a  floral window box demonstration held by garden centre staff at Coleman’s Garden Centre staff last night.
Almost 60 passionate gardeners young and old joined in as garden centre staff showed guests how to fill, display and maintain beautiful window boxes with a colourful selection of plants. After completing their own individual boxes that everyone left with to brighten up their own windows at home it was time for refreshments on the patio to round off a perfect evening.
Richard Fry, Managing Director Coleman’s Garden Centre commented:
“We are delighted to welcome so many members and visitors from Templepatrick Action and Community Association.
We would  like to pay a special thanks to Billy Cathcart, Chairman and Caroline Douglas, Secretary / Treasurer for asking us to host this event. We recognised some familiar faces from around Templepatrick who are regular visitors to us here at the Garden Centre and we were delighted to provide  guidance and advice for this event.
We trust that we have now helped add further colour to some of the windows around Templepatrick and beyond and look forward to seeing everyone back again soon.”
