Coming only two weeks before the Portimao round of the championship this test was used by Rea and the KRT team to find the best set-up for the rapidly approaching race weekend, but also to try out some development and set-up ideas for the 2020 WorldSBK season.
Jonathan, Jake and Tyler took time out with Laura from our Garden Centre team to examine one of our sports models but we are not sure if any of the three of them could get our vintage 1941 David Brown tractor up to the top speeds required to be World Superbike champion but Jake and Tyler were prepared to give it a go – like father like son(s).
Our VAK 1 1941 David Brown Tractor would have cost around £300 brand new in 1941… a quick look online and a 2014 used one would cost over £90,000 plus VAT! It has a top speed of 25 MPH and runs on a petrol paraffin mix….not sure this would keep Jonathan at the top of the leader board!
‘Keep her lit’.
