Now you know that we know you all love our competitions that we run on Facebook – we’ve given away Afternoon Tea for 2, Garden Furniture sets and at this time of year a real Nordmann Fir Christmas tree won this year by the One and Only James Porter.
What you may not know and that we did not know is that there is more than one James Porter in the Antrim and Templepatrick area. So when we announced on Facebook that James Porter had won our Nordmann Fir Christmas Tree worth £50 James’ friends were on the ball immediately congratulating him and telling him how lucky he was !
You’ve guessed it by now- it was James Porter The Second who was wondering how he had won a tree in a competition he had not entered ! Now those of you who know James Porter The Second – hope you are following this – know that he is a man of integrity and this proved to be the case as he replied to us telling us he was not James Porter The First and asking us to make sure that James Porter The First received his richly deserved prize.
What a gent is James Porter The Second so we could not let this gesture go unnoticed so in the true spirit of Christmas we decided to give James Porter The Second a Nordmann Fir Tree as well.
